September 9, 2026. Ember opens its doors on Solana. The house puts its own token up first, like the house always does. Then the block goes quiet.
88 minutes later, somebody walks in off the street with a Zcash coin in a plastic baggie, sets it on the counter, and opens the first corner on the block. No name on the paperwork. Just a ball, a clock, and a promise: every 30 minutes, 10 people eat.
That was ZEC BALL, the first community token ever deployed on Ember.
The copycats showed up 46 minutes late. Cats, rocks, whatever. Three thousand tokens later, they're still lining up. The corner has never closed, and the ball keeps dropping, every half hour, right on the clock.
Detectives are still asking who the plug is. The answer: the smart contract did it. Case open. Evidence remains in circulation.
